Welcome to the 2017-2018 season
Carina Leagues Warriors is a club that brings together family, fun and competition. We focus on ensuring our competitors are not only good players but also good people.
We enter teams in top level events as well as social competition.
We breed champions in and out of the water.
We have parents who contribute to the club because we love our kids.
We have senior players who give back to the club because of what the club gave them.
We are progressive and we believe in nurturing and providing opportunity for our players, coaches and officials.
We are one water polo club, we are Warriors!
Over the last couple of months, the Club has held its AGM and we said farewell to a dedicated volunteer and asset to the club, Veronica Cook (our constitution only allows for 4 consecutive years on the committee). Her contribution and determination to make Warriors a great club was tremendous and we all thank her for her many years of hard work. We welcome Maree Mcleod and Jason Spall to the committee.
The Warriors continue to forge strong ties with Queensland Breakers Waterpolo. Qld Breakers is one of only 2 Queensland National League teams. The other being Barracudas NL team. Warriors work closely with a number of excellent Breakers coaches and senior players to offer our members the best coaching and mentoring programs available. Follow this link to the Qld Breakers website and be sure to support them at their upcoming season games. Most Breakers home games are played at the Valley Pool, with the first being played on January 12th against Hunter Hurricanes.
Regional Representatives and Qld Schoolboys team
After a very strong performance from our Warriors boys who attend schools spread across Met East, Met West and Met North regions, there were 7 players selected into the Qld Schoolboys team last March (Will Downes was not present for this photo).

State Waterpolo Championships
We had teams competing at state titles in December in U12, U14, U16, U18 and U20 Boys and in U16 and U18 girls. Several of our girls also competed for other teams as draft players. Our U18 and U20 boys teams are State Champions with Dan Hansen being named MVP for U18 and Reilly Townsend and Kurt Harron being named MVP/MVG respectively for the U20.
Our teams played hard with most winning their last games showing the players resilience and willingness to keep trying.
Our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts have many photos. Thanks to the photographers who contributed.
We have 5 teams sitting top of the ladder at this point in the competition (3 are undefeated – Ladies and Mens Div 1 and our U16 girls) and another 6 in the top 5 with it all to play for in the second half of the competition. Thank you to all the coaches and managers for your dedication and hard work that make these results possible….Go Warriors!
