Brisbane Summer Competition
The Brisbane Water Polo Association Inc (BWPI) Summer Competition is played across school terms 4 and 1. Registrations open in September each year. For more information on the rules and age groups and other useful club information, also take a look at our Family Handbook.
Juniors
The summer season runs on Saturdays across Term 4 and Term 1 each year. The 2023-2024 BWPI Junior competition manual provides more information on how this competition is run, and we encourage all members to read it. Game times and locations vary across Brisbane pools. More information on the 2024-2025 season will be published in late August or early September.
Seniors
The 2023-2024 seniors competition runs from October to March each year. In 2023-2024, competitive divisions for men and women ran on Wed nights, with a social division competition on Tues nights at the Valley Pool. 2023-24 also saw a new U18-22 competition on Sundays. Queensland State Titles
The Queensland State Titles will be held in April 2024. This is a participation event in which all clubs across Queensland are eligible to enter teams. It is a great opportunity to play teams outside the Brisbane competition and clubs from around the State participate. It is not a tournament that requires qualification – Warriors enter teams across different age categories and is a highly anticipated highlight of the Water Polo Queensland calendar. 2024 Team entries have now closed for this event, with Warriors submitting five junior teams and one open men's team to the event.
Australian Youth Water Polo Championships
This event was held in January 2024 in Brisbane. This is another great event in which Warriors participates each year. The 2025 event dates have not yet been published, but the expected location is Perth, WA. It is an exciting opportunity for teams to travel together for those interested.
